The sheriff was supposed to evict Lenise Forrest in November for owing back rent but over fifty people set up a blockade to stop it.
- Because of the blockade, Lenise is still in her home, but CHA still hasn’t agreed to a payment plan. Many others face eviction too.
- Evicting people is part of the strategy to clear the land but housing is a human right and we won’t go without a fight!
